Our Daily Fishing Reports

Jason and his father from chicago joined us for a reel great adventure out front of fort lauderdale beach! The wind was blowing out of the east and the seas were about 2 to 4 feet . Now when you have these winter like conditions in July , LOOK OUT cause its sailfish time.

There are sailfish here year round. It just takes certain conditions to get them chewing in the summertime. We chugged out the cut up to the north were there was a killer edge out in 200 feet . I launched the kites and out went our spread of goggle eyes. It took a little patience but it payed off . There he was on the left long the kite ribbon started walking off, locked up and we were on. Jason jumped in the chair and battled the sailfish for about a half hour . Joey grabbed him and pulled him the boat for a measurement and a few great shots. I ran right back to the blue water blend a little further south now and reset. This time it didn't take long , it was a reel aggressive bite on the right short I could see the entire fish eating the gog like it was 3-D, AWESOME we all saw it. This fish was hot ,running and jumping all over the place . Jason's Dad jumped in the chair and managed to tame this acrobatic fish. The fish tired himself out and came boat side to joeys hand for a quick measurement and picture before the release. What a great morning right out in front of Fort lauderdale Beach.
