Fishing miles off of the Ft. Lauderdale coast in waters as deep as 1800 feet, youll be equipped with the best fishing gear available. You better be ready for some punishment to go along with all that adrenaline pumping excitement.

Some game fish can weigh hundreds of pounds and put up a fight that can last hours and hours. Sword-fishing is so grueling that it oftentimes becomes a team sport.

What should you expect?

Nighttime Sword-fishing aboard the Miss Bonita 2

The run to the best sword-fishing grounds off of the South Florida coast will take about an hour aboard the Miss Bonita II. Captain Stu uses a variety of live and dead baits chosen specifically to attract these gladiators of the deep. We will deploy baits at various depths, ranging from 500 feet all the way up to the surface. This highly experienced crew will use the latest technology such as a Hydroglow light, used to light up the water and attract baitfish. Night time fish may be a bit smaller, averaging around 100 pounds, but you can expect quite a bit of action.

Daytime Sword-fishing

The big fish are out in daylight hours. A daytime fishing excursion averages fish around 200lbs or more.
